1、 Ginseng tissue culture has adventitious roots

In 2012, the former Ministry of Health approved the announcement of Panax Ginseng (Artificial Cultivation) (PanaxGinseng C.A. Meyer) as a new food raw material. On February 6, 2017, the National Health Commission terminated the review of adventitious roots in the tissue culture of ginseng, a new food raw material.

Ginseng tissue culture adventitious roots, with ginseng as the seed source, induce callus, differentiation and culture to form adventitious roots, after a large number of screening and culture, the high-quality ginseng tissue culture adventitious roots obtained.

At present, it has entered mass production.

2、 Dendrobium round bulbs

Announcement No. 2 of 2024 of the National Health Commission will include Dendrobium protobulum as a new food raw material.

Dendrobium protocorm is made from the seeds or stems of Dendrobium officinale or Dendrobium huoshan as raw materials, induced by plant cell culture technology, and then repeatedly dedifferentiated, screened and cultivated to obtain high-quality Dendrobium protocorm. It is rich in active ingredients such as dendrobine, polysaccharides, and amino acids.

It is still in the research and development stage.

3、 Snow lotus cultures

The former Ministry of Health announced No. 9 of 2010 that snow lotus culture was included in the new food raw materials.

Snow lotus culture is made of wild Tianshan snow lotus seeds, induced by plant cell culture technology, and then the callus formed by dedifferentiation is used as a secondary seed, and the clumpy-like particles obtained by subculture under certain conditions are given. Rich in flavonoids, chlorogenic acid, polysaccharides and other active ingredients.

It is still in the research and development stage.
