Figure 1 Ginseng rhizome slices (arrows point to a darker, ring-shaped cambium.) Stem cells are located here);

Fig. 2 Protoplasts obtained after enzymatic digestion (cells at the cambium layer by microdissection, protoplasts obtained after enzymatic digestion with pectinase and cellulase, the cells indicated by the arrows are dry and fine protoplasts with multiple small vacuoles stained with neutral red, and the two adjacent cells are somatic cells with large vacuoles);

Figure 3 Nursing culture of isolated protoplasts after regenerating cell walls (medium with a layer of ginseng cells and a layer of filter paper, followed by a colony of isolated single-cell populations);

Figure 4 Single-cell clones (stem cell clones identified with neutral red staining) after care for culture.

Ginseng tissue culture has adventitious roots

(1)Induced formation process of adventitious roots in ginseng tissue culture

Using ginseng stem cells as materials, inducing differentiation and culture to form adventitious roots, after a large number of screening and culture, high-quality ginseng tissue culture adventitious roots were obtained.

Figure 5 Adventitious root induction culture of ginseng stem cells in induced differentiation medium (arrows indicate differentiated adventitious roots);

Fig.6 The adventitious roots of ginseng were cut into 0.5~1.0cm segments and inoculated in sterilized liquid medium at 23 ± 2 °C at 90~150 rpm.

Fig. 7 After 3-5 weeks, each adventitious root will differentiate into 20~100 lateral roots.

(3)Five characteristics of adventitious roots in ginseng tissue culture

Shorten the cycle time and improve efficiency

Unlimited mass production (not limited by time, space, or geography)

Stable production and reduced costs

Standardization of production

Safe (no pesticides, heavy metals, hormones, antibiotics and other pollution sources)

(4)Product Applications

Food field: solid beverages, tablet candy, liquid beverages, pastes, liquors, etc

Daily cosmetics: lotions, masks, creams, toothpaste, shampoos, shower gels, etc
